We are looking to recruit a B7 Team Manager to join our Residential Home for 4 amazing residents who have lived together for over 30 years. This role involves operational oversight and leadership into the wider service, direct management of a team of unregistered nursing staff, partnership working, and clinical input as required. This is an excellent time to be joining our Respite, Day, and Residential service as we are embarking on an exciting transformation journey to ensure that the people we serve are cared for using the latest evidence-driven care in fit-for-purpose environments equipped to best meet people's needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in not only the day-to-day management of the team but also be a critical part of the service's strong collective leadership ethos, ensuring that the teams are staffed, performing, well-led, safe, effective, and delivering expected standards of care and compassion across the board. Role requires an additional interview with the CQC, including the obtaining of a specialist CQC DBS check in order to gain necessary Registered Manager Status post-appointment - you will be fully supported with this process. Main duties of the job

Responsible for the line management of all team members including appraisals, personal development planning, talent management and training, management of sickness absence, formal disciplinary and grievance matters, performance management, recruitment and selection decisions, and high-level planning and prioritising of departmental workload. To work positively and collaboratively in partnership with all stakeholders whilst being professionally accountable and responsible for the delivery of the clinical service. To lead service development initiatives to ensure continual quality improvement as part of a collective leadership team. About us

Knowledge

Sound Knowledge of PMLD Nursing Qualifications

Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare or social work or relevant professional clinical qualification (e.g., PWP/CWP in IAPT/Getting Help services) Be Educated to Master's level in leadership or a subject area relevant to the area of practice OR Have equivalent clinical experience to that of master's level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in relevant clinical area with significant experience - which also includes significant experience of managing people (see below under experience), together with evidence of CPD Be trained in Clinical Supervision and Providing Clinical Supervision Be a Recognised Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor Experience

Significant experience of managing people Significant experience of working with patients with complex needs in the specialist field Significant experience working with patients who display risk behaviours Working collaboratively with others (external partners, staff service users, and their families/carers) Evidence of delivering supervision Working knowledge of the legal framework and statutory obligations under the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and other relevant legislation Detailed understanding of Safeguarding and its application in practice Risk assessment and management and its application in practice Working knowledge of clinical medicines management Developing, maintaining, and auditing standards of practice Evidence of training in Quality Improvement methodology or coaching, and/or using. Inter-agency and partnership working Disclosure and Barring Service Check
