Job Summary The Cloud Deployment Specialist is responsible for the deployment of the Prometheus product applications both in the SaaS environments as well as for the on-premises customers who have purchased Prometheus products to be deployed in the customers managed environments. Responsibilities include: Work as a part of the cloud application deployment team to deploy SaaS applications in the AWS cloud hosted environments. Support the deployment of Prometheus applications in on-premises customer’s environments. Pro-actively identify problems and/or gaps in the deployed applications and infrastructure and develop and/or coordinate with other Cloud operations teams for preventive measures and solutions. Assist in the roll-out and deployment of new product features and installations to facilitate our rapid iteration and constant growth. Identify ways to resolve common issues by developing and deploying automation to prevent inefficiencies and human errors. Work closely with development team to ensure SaaS applications are defects free. Maintain working cadence with the devops team to ensure efficient continuous integration and continuous delivery of the SaaS applications. Function well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Skills and Experience Bachelor’s in computer science, information technology, Software engineering, or a related field. 2+ years working experience in cloud-based applications deployment and management. 2+ years working experience in AWS services such as EC2, S3, and EBS and cloud architecture. 2+ years hands-on experience with AWS Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and containerized applications. Firsthand experience with CI/CD pipelines concepts and tools such as Gitlab CI and ArgoCD. Proficiency with scripting languages Bash and Python. Working knowledge and experience with Helm charts. Proficient in the use of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) such as Terraform. Proficient with PostgreSQL and MSSQL databases. Strong proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems and server administration. Working knowledge and experience configuring and managing IIS. Good understanding of cloud networking concepts and best practices. Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Additional Desired Qualifications Working experience with Azure cloud application deployment and resource creation and management a plus. AWS Cloud certifications a plus. Strong familiarity with .NET and Java programming languages. Understanding of SAML2.0 SSO integrations. Familiarity with middleware technologies such as SAP, Azure API management (APIM), and F5, etc. Knowledge and experience with Dynatrace application monitoring tools a plus. Self-driven and automation mindset. Strong critical thinking skills. Familiarity with SSL certificate management. Benefits Overview Gym Kickback Incentive (Up to £25 per month)
