Job offered by: TN United Kingdom

Category: IT & Technology
Social network you want to login/join with: Based in central Cambridge (close to bus and rail links), this established tech company provides a range of software products that are utilized by energy utility services in the UK and Europe. Due to the importance of these services, their products need to be robust and well-engineered, and so the team's approach to development is methodical and efficient. The company is expanding their software team and this includes the recruitment of a Cloud / DevOps Engineer to join them. Key responsibilities will include: Creating secure AWS infrastructure for their cloud-based products. Automating workflows and being able to deploy to multiple environments. Using IaC for automation, testing, and production through collaborations with other team members and stakeholders. Requirements: Experience as a generalist software developer or systems administrator before moving into DevOps or Cloud engineering. Demonstrable experience working with Cloud technologies including Terraform, Python / Bash (for automation), Docker, CI/CD, and general database administration. Interested applicants are expected to be based in or close to Cambridge (ideally within 45mins). Hybrid working is available. Note, the role would require you to be on-call one week in every four – whilst calls are rare, if an incident does arise, it does need to be handled immediately rather than waiting for the next working day. On offer is an excellent remuneration package including enhanced pension contributions, private medical, EAP, and more. The company is policy-light, giving a lot of autonomy to individuals. Company sponsorship is not available, applicants must have full rights to work in the UK (if you have a visa, this should be valid for at least 5 years).
