Join the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Technology team as a Cloud Engineer at Pharmaceutical Press where youll play a vital role in developing and maintaining our publishing software systems and customerfacing digital products. As part of our purposedriven team youll be surrounded by individuals who share a passion for innovation and embrace Agile principles. As a Cloud Engineer youll design and maintain cloudbased infrastructures and applications applying highquality development practices and collaborating with various teams. Additionally youll assist in managing data protection systems and contribute to problemsolving and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Indepth expertise of AWS (EC2 RDS IAM Cognito DynamoDB lambdas networking API gateways CloudFront etc.).
- Experience in working in agile environments working closely with Software Developers and other stakeholders with an emphasis on building customer focused solutions in an iterative and incremental way.
- Experience in working with GitHub repositories including working with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of DevOps values such as automation sharing culture and measurement.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices such as CI/CD Infrastructure as Code logging and monitoring communication and collaboration.
- Knowledge of a number of technologies such as Puppet Terraform CloudFormation CDK Elasticsearch Service Catalog Docker Linux.
- Knowledge of using logging and monitoring tools for cloudbased applications (including AWS CloudWatch XRay).
- Knowledge of scaling cloudbased applications.
- Experience with working with Identity and Access Management solutions in AWS.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and work to deadlines.
- Ability to provide clear explanations and instructions orally and in writing.
- Experience in the use of content management systems and in web delivery of structured content would be an advantage.
- Best security practices high quality standards and attention to detail.
- Experience with Python JavaScript and TypeScript.
How we are currently working
RPS supports and works in a hybrid way which means you will be able to work from home however there will be an expectation for collaborative facetoface working on average and typically this may be something between 48 working days per month at our London Office. However this may be more depending on the team or business need.
