Senior Software Developer – AWS NODE – (News Sport) – FTC [UK]

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer with expertise in AWS and Node.js to join our team. This role will involve driving innovation and delivering high-quality solutions to meet our clients’ needs. Location

London Hybrid – up to 2 days a week in the office Eligibility to work in the UK Role Overview

You will work with tools such as AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, and GitHub for CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with branching strategies is key. Experience with TypeScript and Optimizely for multi-variant testing, as well as an understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD), is highly desirable. You will also write and maintain technical and operational documentation tailored to various audiences. Responsibilities

Experience in continuous integration and tools such as AWS CodeBuild, GitHub, or Jenkins Experience in automated testing, from unit tests to integration Experience with version control (we utilize GitHub) and branching strategies A front-end developer within a test environment Experience working with Optimizely (multi-variant testing) Experience working closely with a multi-discipline agile team, including Product Managers, UX Designers, and Delivery Managers Experience implementing code in line with WCAG (including AAA standards) Experience with TypeScript and an understanding of Test-Driven Development Experience writing and updating technical/operational documentation for various audiences Experience

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar work-based experience Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, ideally with a focus on media-related projects Very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques, and methodologies Experience in providing coaching and mentoring Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios Knowledge of software development tools and technologies Flexibility and curiosity in your approach Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Additional Information
