tariff/non-tariff Department Insights Join our Platform team and help to provide a reliable, stable and scalable AWS Cloud platform that enhances the delivery performance of the RWEST developer teams! Working closely with security and networking teams, we ensure that the platform is up to date with state-of-the-art networking and security guardrails. Working with a DevOps mindset in an agile environment, we develop and maintain reusable infrastructure components that are highly optimized for resource usage and costs. Your responsibilities Contributing to the Cloud team standards, identifying and implementing improvements to processes, tools, and standards Creating and testing IaC (Infrastructure as Code) using CloudFormation (CFN) and delivering products to a deadline Collaborating with different product teams including Applications, Operations, Security, Networking, etc., to define and deliver the required AWS capability for a given project/initiative Contributing to improving team culture by promoting transparency, openness, knowledge sharing, and actively helping other team members where necessary Being a genuine team player, able to share knowledge/experience with other team members and learn from those around you Collaborating with other team members to troubleshoot day-to-day issues Maintaining our cloud environments in line with company policy Understanding when to use different deployment approaches (blue-green, canary, etc.) Understanding what is needed for a reliable CI/CD pipeline infrastructure Designing and implementing products that are dynamically scalable and reliable with disaster recovery considered Writing code that is clear, consistent, and concise while considering coding standards within the team and any observability requirements Clearly communicating technical hurdles within the team and translating complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience Supporting and driving FinOps practices to optimize cloud costs and ensure efficient resource utilization

Your powerful skills Considerable knowledge of a major coding language (Python preferred) Strong understanding of basic coding principles (Recursion, Modularity, Readability, Error Handling, etc.) Considerable experience working in a Cloud service (AWS preferred) Experience in using IaC software tools (CFN, Terraform (TF)) Experience working with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, etc. Experience with Git, managing code check-ins, code reviews, and maintaining a standardized repository structure An understanding of how to create and manage cloud-native CI/CD pipelines Experience working in DevOps and with an Agile mindset Experience with monitoring tools, specifically through CloudWatch Experience in Infrastructure and Platform as a Service environments DevOps practices like Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Understanding cloud networking and security best practices Advantageous, but not a must Cloud migration and project experience Academic degree in mathematics, computer science, natural science, or comparable degree Skills in Cloud security, Cloud network topics, expertise in monitoring & logging frameworks Experience in working with AWS Service Catalog Puppet Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner & Solution Architect Associate We are expanding our FinOps operations within the team as part of that the following skills are desirable:

An understanding of Financial or data analytics as well as cloud cost optimization Experience with AWS Glue, Athena, QuickSight & Excel preferred
