Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to execute a key piece of work for an exciting and wide-ranging transformation project. The candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud-based solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). They will have hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly in building and maintaining pipelines (CI/CD), and working on data strategy projects. Location:

Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based solutions on AWS, including infrastructure, applications, and data pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop solutions that meet business needs. Develop and maintain complex data pipelines using various AWS services. Ensure the security, compliance, and governance of cloud-based solutions, adhering to industry standards and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and collaborate with other teams to resolve issues that span multiple systems. Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and features, and apply this knowledge to improve existing solutions and develop new ones. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality, reusable code. Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and applications. Requirements: At least 3 years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on AWS. Strong experience with AWS data related services, like AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon QuickSight, and Amazon Athena. Experience with data pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics. Strong programming skills in at least one language, preferably Java or Python. Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
