Our global client based in East Lancashire is looking to strengthen its quality department with the addition of a CMM Inspector.
This is a permanent position, working hours are 6am till 2.30pm Monday to Thursday and 6am till 12pm on Friday.
This is a 40 hour working week and it is paying between £32,000 and £35,000 per annum.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Carrying out inspection duties using Mititoyo CMM programs First off and final inspections Using manual measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers Completing NCR reports and ensuring they are logged correctly Effectively communicating with other departments on any NCR's and following process to ensure the necessary corrections are made Working from engineering and customer specifications Calibrated equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose Support and communicate continuous improvement Providing all the necessary data to the relevant departments, assisting in CA and RCA activities
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Experience of precision engineering and assembly operations Vastly experienced within quality and inspection orientated roles Excellent working knowledge of CMM machinery is essential Programming knowledge of CMM is desired Experienced with manual inspection techniques using verniers and micrometers Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications Experience working on Quality Management Systems Excellent communications skills with the ability to interact with work colleagues, customers and suppliers Experience of ERP and MRP systems is desirable
