Set up and operate CNC lathes to perform various machining operations. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machine set-up and production methods. Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced according to specifications. Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy. Work closely with the Inspection team to assure dimensional accuracy of the product. Qualifications Proven experience as a CNC Lathe/Turning Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in castings. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Knowledge of logic controllers and CNC programming, preferably Fanuc controls. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. Working Hours: Rotating shift pattern of one week of earlies (07:00 – 15:00) and one week of lates (15:00 – 23:00), or permanent lates if that suits the candidate. Shifts will start after an initial period of no more than 3 months on days to get used to our machines and castings. Shift allowance: £1.50 PH on lates.
