We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to work for our prestigious client based in Hoddesdon. As a CNC Machine Operator, you must be able to produce a consistent level of quality with a good understanding of housekeeping and understand the importance of good/safe working practices. The ideal candidate will have a positive mindset, can-do attitude, and a desire to work in a team-based environment. Attention to detail and good manual dexterity are a must.

The role is a full-time permanent position working from 7am - 4.30pm (Monday - Friday) offering a competitive salary.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Program, set, and operate CNC machine - including packing the final products ready for shipment. Using AutoCAD/Computer Design Software. Operate CNC machine to tight tolerances. Produce high-quality components from drawings. Ensuring all production achieves the highest quality standards in line with the company's quality procedures. Ensuring all necessary documentation and labeling is completed and production records are maintained. Carry out basic maintenance on machines and tools if necessary. Ensuring you always adhere to company procedures and rules and follow both verbal and written instruction. Ensuring all manufacture is completed in a timely fashion within the given timescales to meet the required delivery date. Develop and improve manufacturing methods. Maintain a safe and clean working environment. Ensuring health and safety standards are always met. Carry out any other duties as requested by the Supervisor across other production areas.

Skills/Experience:

Minimum 3 years' experience using CNC machines (any material). Experience with Zund CNC machines (preferred but not essential). Skilled in AutoCAD or 2D/3D computer design packages. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Comfortable working with measurements. Experience using tools/power tools. A forklift license would be an advantage. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Good attention to detail. Ability to work quickly and accurately. Ability to use initiative. Lean manufacturing concepts and experience. Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
