Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components within the door set and ironmongery industry. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The CNC Operator will ensure that all operations are performed efficiently and safely while adhering to quality standards.

Duties Operate SCM CNC machines for woodworking to fabricate parts according to specifications. Assemble and weld components as required, ensuring accuracy and quality in the final product. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. Utilise hand tools and tooling equipment effectively for various fabrication tasks within the door set and ironmongery industry. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand production requirements. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, following all safety protocols within the warehouse environment. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.

Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate CNC machinery effectively within the woodworking, door set or ironmongery industry. Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to machining processes. Experience with logic controllers and their application in CNC operations is advantageous. Familiarity with woodwork. Ability to work with hand tools and tooling equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a logical approach to troubleshooting equipment issues. A keen eye for detail, ensuring high-quality output in all aspects of production.

Working Hours Monday to Wednesday: 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM Thursday: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Contract Type Temp-to-Perm: This role starts as a temporary position, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent contract after 12 weeks.
