Position Overview:

The CNC Machine Operator will play a pivotal role in coordinating the department's activities to maximize throughput while ensuring the highest standards of quality, health, and safety. The ideal candidate will work closely with team members and company management, driving continuous improvement in all CNC operations, processes, and procedures. They will also work collaboratively across departments to ensure efficient and effective communication and problem-solving. Core Job Responsibilities: Programming Schedules:

Plan and prepare CNC programming schedules for the week ahead. Training:

Help train and upskill employees within the department to diversify their competencies. Inventory Management:

Oversee the ironmongery stores and maintain control over inventory levels. Tooling Supplies:

Work with the purchasing department to manage CNC tooling supplies and reduce expenses. Efficiency Improvement:

Lead efforts to increase the efficiency of the department and streamline operations. Corrective/Preventive Actions:

Collaborate with all departments to report, address, and prevent downtime or wasted production time. Maintenance Management:

Ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed correctly and on time to prevent machine downtime. Health & Safety:

Ensure that all health and safety regulations and best practices are adhered to. Additional Duties:

Carry out any other reasonable duties as required to support the company in achieving its business objectives.
