Your role as a General Machinist will involve working on our various CNC machining platforms producing Discs, Drums and any other commodities we support. As a General Machinist, you will be responsible for delivering against weekly targets to meet customer requirements. You will also work with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain improvement activities within our manufacturing environment. We are looking for candidates with level 3 certification within other engineering disciplines outside of Machining, which will also need to be provided on submission. As a General Machinist you will be doing:
Work to Technical Instructions and program manuals to deliver consistent, high-quality machining across a variety of different components and product families. Operate a variety of Inspection equipment, including machine probing, micrometres, plug gauges. Interpret manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications. Assess whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards. Who we are looking for:
Completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship* and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification. Siemens control system experience is preferred. Experience in 3 and 5-axis grinding, milling and turning. Previous experience with aerospace components would be an advantage.
