Our client is a leading manufacturing company specializing in carbon steel products. We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team on a permanent basis. Tool or mould makers with relevant experience will also be considered. Position Overview
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting and operating vertical machine centres to produce high-quality components. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in CNC machining and will be required to pass practical and theoretical machining tests before employment. This role will involve working on a rotating shift pattern of mornings, afternoons, and nights. Key Responsibilities
Working from engineering drawings. Editing programs. Setting/Operation of 3-axis CNC milling machines. Setting large fabrications. Filling out route cards and SOPs. Working a 3 shift rotation system. Working a reasonable amount of overtime to suit the needs of the business. The Successful Applicant Must Possess The Following Skills
Competent in the use of Haas, Fanuc or Heidenhain control systems. Setting machine datums and tool lengths. Knowledge of basic inspection equipment. The Following Skills Are Desirable But Not Essential
Fork Lift Truck licence. First Aid Training. Programming. Benefits
SHIFTS 37.5hrs/wk EARLY SHIFT:
Monday - Friday 6:00am – 2:00pm LATE SHIFT:
Monday - Friday 2:00pm – 10:00pm NIGHT SHIFT:
Monday - Friday 10:00pm - 6:00am Pay Rate
£16.25/hr £3.00/hr shift allowance applied to all 3 shifts. (For 3 shift rotation only) Attendance bonus £30.00/wk for each shift. Overtime paid at 1.5 x regular rate Monday – Saturday and 2 x regular rate Sunday. Permanent role with opportunities for career advancement. Personal protective equipment provided by the company.
