CNC Machinist - 7x roles available (immediate starts)

Newton Aycliffe, County Durham

Company Overview: Our client is a leading manufacturing company specializing in carbon steel products. We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team on a permanent basis. Tool or mould makers with relevant experience will also be considered.

Position Overview: As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting and operating vertical machine centres to produce high-quality components. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in CNC machining and will be required to pass practical and theoretical machining tests before employment. This role will involve working on a rotating shift pattern of mornings, afternoons, and nights.

Key Responsibilities:

Working from engineering drawings. Editing programs. Setting/Operation of 3axis CNC milling machines. Setting large fabrications. Filling out route cards and SOP's. Working a 3 shift rotation system. Working a reasonable amount of overtime to suit the needs of the business. Required Skills:

Competent in the use of Haas, Fanuc or Heidenhain control systems. Setting machine datums and tool lengths. Knowledge of basic inspection equipment. Desirable Skills:

Fork Lift Truck licence. First Aid Training. Programming. Benefits:

SHIFTS:

37.5hrs/wk

EARLY SHIFT:

Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm

LATE SHIFT:

Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm

NIGHT SHIFT:

Monday - Friday 10:00pm - 6:00am

PAY RATE:

£16.25/hr £3.00/hr shift allowance applied to all 3 shifts. (For 3 shift rotation only) Attendance bonus £30.00/wk for each shift. Overtime paid at 1.5 x regular rate Monday - Saturday and 2 x regular rate Sunday. Permanent role with opportunities for career advancement. Personal protective equipment provided by the company.
