We are currently recruiting for a CNC General Machinist for our client who specializes in Carbon Brush / Carbon Vane Manufacturing located in Wednesbury (WS10 8BL).
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm Friday 7am to 1:00pm 25 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays
Pay Rate:
£14-£15 per hour.
The client manufactures 'carbon brushes' for Electric Motors and Carbon vanes for Vacuum pumps and they are currently looking for a good all-rounder who enjoys making things!
Responsibilities:
Cutting, grinding, drilling, measurement & inspection, working to specifications, soldering, etc. Assisting with off-loading & booking-in raw materials Maintaining a clean, safe and organized working environment Continuous improvement jobs Working within a quality system to ISO 9001:2015 Working to job instructions, engineering drawings and specifications Working within the quality, environmental compliance procedures/systems, organizational and health and safety regulations Providing input to potential problems that can occur within the engineering operations and how they can be avoided Preparing the work area and equipment Obtaining and following the appropriate job documentation and work instructions Extracting the necessary data and information from specifications and related documentation Carrying out the engineering activities in line with their job role Carrying out quality checks as required; working with minimum supervision either individually or as part of a team and being responsible for their own actions and for the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of the work they undertake Mounting and setting the required work holding devices Producing individual components, sub-assemblies or completed assemblies using mechanical manufacturing techniques
