Our client is a precision engineering company providing high quality vacuum products and services for customers in science and semiconductor industry. They are currently looking for a CNC Miller - Setter / Operator to join their team in Hailsham.

Key Duties / Responsibilities of the CNC Setter / Operator: Set and Run proven and unproven programs, adjust work and/or tool co-ordinates and correct any errors. Set tools and produce First off parts to the correct quality. Change from machine to machine at infrequent intervals. Fulfil training programs deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties. Maintaining of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Perform other duties from time to time, as may be required by the Company. Essential Skills & Experience: HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or basic training of a craft apprenticeship. Must be experienced in CNC milling, setting and operating. Must have experience in using multi axis machines. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T. Ability to read & understand ISO and conversational machine programs. Capable of using various machine controls (FANUC, Heidenhain or Siemens). Understand how tools and material will react after & during machining. Must have experience in machining flanges and component parts. Understands requirements of On Time Delivery both internally and externally. Desirable Skills and Experience: IT literate (Windows 7, MS Office). negotiable, DOE

37 hour week, flexible working with a 12pm Friday finish.

Benefits: 25 days plus bank holidays (some holiday may be needed for Christmas shutdown). Company pension scheme employee 3% employer 6%. Life Insurance 4 annual salary rising to 6 if join the company pension. Occupational Health checks provided including an annual health check for all employees. Occupational Sick Pay (dependant on length of service 1-3 weeks full pay). Annual eye check and assistance towards prescription glasses or safety glasses.
