Due to expansion, My Client in Reading is looking for a CNC Programmer. We are looking for experienced Machining Engineers to support our expanding operation by programming, setting, and operating both Vertical Machining Centres and Multi-axis Machining Centres. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in CAD & CAM, preferably with experience in Camworks or Edgecam. Alternatively, experience with Matrix Mazitrol for programming, setting, and operating the Mazak Integrex machine tool range is also highly desirable. Please note this position cannot consider overseas applications. Responsibilities:

Programming: Create and optimize CNC programs using CAD & CAM software, preferably Camworks or Edgecam, or Matrix Mazitrol for the Mazak Integrex machine tool range. Setting and Operating: Set up and operate Vertical Machining Centres and Multi-axis Machining Centres to produce precision components. Quality Assurance: Ensure all machined components meet strict quality standards and specifications. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machining equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and optimize machining processes. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining efficiency and productivity. Person and Requirements:

Experience: Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating Vertical Machining Centres and Multi-axis Machining Centres. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD & CAM software, preferably Camworks or Edgecam. Alternatively, experience with Matrix Mazitrol for the Mazak Integrex machine tool range. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality components. Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues effectively. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the production team and contribute to a positive work environment.
