CNC Miller
Cheltenham - Days - Permanent - Full-time - Salary Circa £32,000
Due to an increasing order book, our client is looking for a CNC Miller that can set and operate CNC machines in a precision machining environment, ensuring top quality within the given timescale.
The Role:
Set and operate Haas CNC VMCs with Fanuc controls in a precision machining environment. Interpret technical specifications - imperial & metric. Self-inspect, including quality, cleaning, and de-burring. Ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule. Continually assess tool condition and maintain as necessary. Always looking at decreasing run times and down times through good setups and enablement coupled with personal motivation. Excellent attention to detail and possess the drive to learn and develop.
The Person: Motivated, highly organised CNC machinist. Manual machining experience (pillar drill, lathe, slotting) - advantage. CNC Turning experience - advantage. Experience using a variety of inspection equipment including micrometres, verniers, callipers, gauges, and Keyence. Experience in a sub-contract machining environment. Ability to modify programmes online - advantage. Experienced working with aluminium, SS, brass, silver materials. Team player with the ability to work using your own initiative. Positive attitude and good timekeeping. Computer literate, good numeracy, and literacy skills.
