CNC Machinist

that is looking to grow within their business, on a 3 shift rotating pattern (Days, Afternoons and Nights) with Shift premium for nights. Our client is one of Britain’s leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers. The unique feature about the company is the combination of open and closed-die forging while also undertaking the whole production process from raw material to the finished product in one location. Operating from a 680,000 ft² facility in Sheffield, they manufacture high-integrity, open-die and closed-die forged components in nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel and carbon alloys for customers and tier-one suppliers within the aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine as well as oil and gas sector. Key Accountabilities: Setting up machines according to best practice. Work accurately to customer requirements. Inspect and check machined components. Maintain good housekeeping of work areas (5S). If required, work on two machines in tandem. Maximise efficient use of machinery. Ensure safe use of machinery and adherence to all tolerances and customer instructions. Work without supervision, ensuring production of quality machined parts. Appropriate preparation on commencement of machining. Demonstrate an organised and self-motivated personality.
