We are seeking a trained and skilled CNC Mill Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our client's team, programming and setting their Doosan Puma Mill/Turn lathes with 2nd spindle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Programming the machines - Machine Setup and Tooling:
Set up CNC machines, including loading materials, securing workpieces, and installing tooling and fixtures.
Select appropriate cutting tools and make tool changes, as necessary.
Conduct tool offsets and work offsets to ensure accurate machining.
2. CNC Operation:
Program/Set & Operate CNC machines to produce parts with precision and accuracy.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machines in optimal condition.
3. Quality Assurance:
Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Conduct in-process checks and measurements to verify accuracy and quality.
Identify and address any issues that may affect the quality of the product.
4. Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality standards and production schedules.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience of Fanuc turning centers (Doosan Puma 4100m & 2600SY II).
Technical certificate or diploma in machining or related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a CNC programmer, setter and operator in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and materials.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
This is an exciting role for a dedicated CNC Mill/Turn programmer at an expanding company.
Location: Keighley
Hours: Full Time Monday-Friday 37 hrs per week (early finish on Fridays)
Salary: up to 38k per annum DOE
