CNC Operator
Location: Gloucester Type: Days - Permanent - Fulltime Salary: DOE
Due to an increasing order book, our client is looking for a CNC Operator to join their team. You will set, operate, and program CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
The role:
Operate and manage CNC machining processes for manufacturing aluminium windows and doors. Set up, calibrate, and program CNC machines, including Elu CAD for Elumatec CNC. Perform tool changes and create tool files to match tooling requirements. Conduct routine maintenance and ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot production issues and resolve them promptly. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards. Read and interpret technical drawings to guide production. Maintain clean and hazard-free workspaces while adhering to health and safety regulations. Follow production schedules and operational procedures as directed by management. Complete safety and compliance documentation accurately.
The Person: Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience - essential. Experience in window and door manufacturing - desirable. Familiarity with Elu CAD and Elumatec CNC - desirable. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to read and understand technical drawings - essential. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Commitment to following health, safety, and quality standards.
