About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Cell Production Manager to oversee and optimize the production processes within our clients composite manufacturing facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the CNC machining operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in CNC machining, and ideally a deep understanding of composite materials.
Key Responsibilities Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the CNC machining cell, ensuring smooth workflow and maximum productivity. Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely completion of orders and alignment with customer requirements. Monitor machine utilization, performance, and maintenance to minimize downtime. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of CNC operators and technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team capabilities in CNC operations and composite material handling. Process Optimization: Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations. Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to refine machining techniques for composite materials. Quality Assurance: Ensure all CNC-machined components meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Health, Safety, and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications relevant to composite manufacturing.
Qualifications and Experience Education: Ideally hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in CNC machining or production management are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proven expertise in working with composite materials, including carbon fiber and fiberglass. A strong background in metallics would also be considered. Experience working for a Tier 1 supplier / subcontractor preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of CNC programming (e.g., G-code, CAM software) and machine operation. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and production planning tools. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage teams and collaborate across departments.
