About the role:

Reporting directly to the SMD Production Supervisor and working closely with the Engineering Departments within the whole company with full accountability for all areas of programming and associated applications.

Set a Personal Development Plan including any Training Requirements.

Involvement in SMD / Company Development Plans.

Assist in inductions & Coaching of new staff into the Technical Team.

Any other duties commensurate with your role.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

CNC Programming

Full accountability for all areas of programming and associated applications

Maintain CNC tool Library and investigate developments in punching Technology.

Recommend / Requisition of new and replacement tooling.

Assist in the development / on-the-job training of all new and existing CNC operators.

Ensure awareness of Company rules and procedures and liase / promote awareness amongst Operations team members.

Production Engineering

Work Closely with Production Supervisor / Manager and Project Engineers to ensure deadlines are met.

Manage work - Load mix between Programming & Engineering Development Schedule

Seek improvement projects across all company product ranges.

Demonstrate analytical skills and propose innovative solutions.

Establish and Maintain Drawing Control systems for both Technical and shop floor applications.

About you:

A strong understanding of CNC Programming and operations. Ideally experience in Trumpf Machines

Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Good communication skills to effectively liaise with team members.

A positive attitude towards learning and continuous improvement.

What's on Offer

A competitive salary of around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum with the potential for regular overtime at enhanced rates.

£1,000 full attendance bonus (per calendar year).
