Are you a skilled CNC professional seeking your next challenge? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator to join a precision engineering team. This role offers a chance to work in a highly skilled environment, producing precision parts and tooling for cutting-edge manufacturing projects.

The Role

As a CNC Programmer/Operator, you will:

Create and manage CNC programs for various machinery, including CNC lathes, machining centers, EDM, laser cutting, and inspection systems. Update existing programs following design changes and oversee program control. Support production by calibrating tooling and operating machinery when necessary. Provide mentorship to apprentices and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Assist in the introduction of new machinery and processes.

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will bring: Extensive experience programming and operating CNC machines. Proficiency in CAD CAM/offline programming and interpreting engineering drawings. A minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent mechanical qualification. Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with Lean manufacturing principles. Familiarity with standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001, and IATF16949. PC skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Desirable Skills: Experience with laser cutting machinery (training can be provided). Knowledge of process optimization tools, such as SMED and Poka Yoke.

Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 07:30 am - 4:30 pm and Friday: 07:30 am - 12:30 pm
