Whitstable We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in programming CNC machines from CAD models. This role is pivotal in interpreting technical drawings, setting up machines, and ensuring high-quality production standards, contributing significantly to the efficiency and precision of operations. Day-to-day of the CNC Programmer role: Develop and optimise CNC programmes for various machining processes. Interpret CAD models directly to CAM, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements. Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring they are calibrated correctly for production runs. Conduct regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes. Work a 4-day week, 9.75 hours per day, with optional overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. Required Skills & Qualifications of the CNC Programmer: Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery. Proficient in using hand tools for assembly and maintenance tasks. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to machining. Experience in assembling, grinding, fabricating, and welding components. Familiarity with tooling techniques and sheet metal work is advantageous. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Siemens 828 and Fanuc preferred; training can be provided. Benefits: Canteen Free parking Gym membership On-site parking
