Position Overview:

My client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist and Deburring Engineer to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathes using Fanuc programming to produce high-precision aerospace components and performing detailed deburring to ensure the highest quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Operate CNC lathes using Fanuc programming to machine parts according to engineering specifications and schematic drawings. Set up, adjust, and maintain CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to prevent downtime and ensure longevity, which will all be shown to you. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify conformity to specifications (verniers etc). Carry out deburring tasks with precision and care, removing excess material, and smoothing edges to meet quality standards. Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to address any production issues or improvements - continuous improvement! Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Document and report any non-conformances or equipment malfunctions, and ensure all documentation and completion forms are correct. Qualifications: Experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace or aviation industry. Strong understanding of Fanuc programming, tooling, and machining processes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Excellent attention to detail. Familiarity with deburring tools and techniques, as well as inspection methods. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
