My client is looking for a
CNC Turner
to join them on a permanent basis. As a
CNC Turner , you will be responsible for the manufacture of aircraft bushes to precision limits in accordance with company procedures/ OHM/ CMM/ SOPM.

From 32,170 plus shift allowance Location:
West London Hours:
Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday (depending on business needs) 06.30 - 14.30 and 14.25 - 22.25

Main responsibilities: Working on two and three axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls. Experience of CNC programming preferable on Fanuc controls. To be able to read and understand technical drawings. To be able to work with imperial measuring equipment. Manufacturing bushes, sleeves and nuts for Aircraft components e.g., Landing gears, flap and track systems. Also reworking and overhauling components for the airline industry.
Ideal candidate profile: Strong experience in a similar role is essential. Aerospace background not essential but would be preferred. Experience in two and three axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls. Experience of CNC programming. Team player with proven ability to manage, lead and provide guidance. Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages. Excellent communication skills. Excellent planning, problem solving, organisation, and administration skills. Decision maker, analysing root causes rather than presenting the problem. Self-motivated with a flexible approach. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including working overtime at weekends. The job requires the applicant to understand manual handling. The position involves the use of complex machinery. Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent. Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
