CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator Shift:
Day Shift Hours are Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 2.30pm or Late Shift Hours are Monday - Wednesday 4.30pm - 3.30am, Thursday 4.30pm - 1.30am Rate:
£32k-£38k per annum - (late shift premium is time plus one third). Requirements
Proven time served experience in programming, setting and operating 2 axis turning machines. Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine with little or no supervision. Experience programming using 'Manual Guide i' software. Experience programming using G codes. Editing prewritten programs, full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds. Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment. Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals. Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances. Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards. Experience of Fanuc controls would be advantageous. Strong working history within the manufacturing industry in a machine shop environment. Hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner to hit the ground running. Confident in working on parts up to ¢300mm x 3m in length, using lifting equipment provided; hoist training will also be provided. What Next?
