Job Overview: We are seeking skilled CNC Turners to join our team. You will be responsible for the setup, optimisation, and operation of a variety of CNC machines within our machine shop. This role is ideal for someone with experience in CNC machining, who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Set up 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines by installing and adjusting work holding devices, tooling, spindle liners, and bar feeders. Operate CNC machines, ensuring minimal downtime. Verify programs and settings using a range of measurement equipment on first articles and make necessary adjustments. Ensure components meet compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards. Record daily machine operations and report on equipment effectiveness. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Maintain and improve time standards for production. Perform routine machine maintenance and uphold a high standard of housekeeping. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies. Support the team with additional tasks as needed across production or other departments.
Requirements: Time-served apprentice with C&G/NVQ or equivalent in mechanical engineering. Proven experience working with minimal supervision on early/late shifts. Competent in setting and operating 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines. Experience with Fanuc, Citizen, and Mazatrol systems is desirable. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Proficient in using a range of measurement equipment. Strong attention to detail, ensuring a high standard of work with minimal defects. Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently. Flexibility to handle various tasks and responsibilities efficiently. Strong communication skills across all levels.
