CNC Machinist – Wood (Nights)

Nights, Regular, Full time - Monday to Thursday (Nights) 3pm till 3am - Thursday 3pm till 12.00pm Reporting to:
Operations Manager Contract:
12 week temporary to permanent Generations People are actively seeking to speak to a CNC Machinist to join an excellent, growing, and reputable wood manufacturing company based in Chesterfield on a regular night shift. As a supportive company, development and progression opportunities are available, to allow you to achieve your best work while gaining new skills within the business. CNC Machinist – Key Duties: CNC Machines - wood (SCM Machines) Be capable of learning new techniques whilst following detailed instructions. Keep the department clean and tidy. Follow company procedures as laid down in the staff handbook. Once trained, load and unload material manually or with hoists or cranes, depending on weight and size. Assist experienced operators in the safe loading and unloading of tooling. May be required to carry out other duties in other departments as assigned by Lead/Supervisor or Management. Responsible for the safe and proper packaging, identifying, and moving of all finished products to the correct location. Skill Requirements: Ability to work well as a team member. Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures. Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as callipers, squares, micrometres, protractors, and tape measures.
