Are you a nurse or social worker with a good understanding of Substance Misuse? Do you also have experience in community based mental health services? Are you motivated to help service users engage in their recovery journey? Do you want to ensure that service users with dual diagnosis do not fall through the gaps? Are you a car owner/driver? Are you proactive? We are offering a Band 7 opportunity to an experienced Substance Misuse/Mental Health Nurse working across Surrey to support service users with complex substance misuse and mental health issues. Main duties of the job

The post holder will be proactive in reducing harm in line with the recovery agenda and advocate for service users in addressing their physical, mental health and social care needs. The post holder will be dynamic in developing and fostering good working relationships with community-based mental health services across Surrey. The post involves working as part of a Multidisciplinary Team providing 1:1 key work support for a small group of service users with complex mental health and substance misuse issues as part of their Recovery Treatment Plan. The role is varied and exciting. Job responsibilities

Suitable for someone who is a professional, dynamic and experienced clinician with excellent complex risk management and crisis intervention skills in a fast-moving environment. You will have knowledge, skills and experience in Mental Health and Substance Misuse with an excellent understanding of the recovery agenda. Person Specification

Qualifications

Registered Nurse Qualification Degree qualification in health-related subject (e.g., Social Work / Occupational Therapy) Post Graduate Qualification Driver's License Experience

Minimum of 2 years in Substance Misuse / Mental Health Excellent standard of Mental Health and Substance Misuse knowledge, skills and experience Evidence of continuous professional development Sound knowledge of working with OST clients and managing prescriptions Experience of facilitating groups Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. Salary: £48,270 to £54,931 a year Incl. 5% Fringe HCAS, pa, pro rata.
