About the Role: With growing demand for innovative and sustainable projects, our client is seeking a Coastal Geomorphologist to join their team. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects such as habitat creation schemes, coastal adaptation strategies, and engineering designs that prioritise nature-based solutions. As part of the role, you'll engage in fieldwork, desk studies, and collaborative efforts with environmental and engineering teams. Your work will support restoration and habitat creation projects, contribute to coastal process assessments, and promote sustainability across multiple outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Providing technical coastal geomorphology advice to internal teams. Conducting site visits to assess habitat restoration and coastal changes. Supporting feasibility studies and engineering projects. Conducting baseline coastal process assessments and analysing engineering impacts. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including modelling and environmental specialists. Analysing GIS datasets and modelling outputs. Writing concise, technical reports. Engaging with stakeholders and presenting at client meetings. Assisting with tender submissions and managing specialist sub-contractors. Supporting UK and international projects, with occasional travel and overnight stays.

What Our Client is Looking For: The ideal candidate will be a motivated, organised, and dynamic professional with proven coastal geomorphology experience. They will have strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for working on projects that deliver sustainable outcomes.

Essential skills and attributes: Strong understanding of process-based coastal geomorphology. Experience in site-based geomorphology assessments. Knowledge of sediment transport, erosion, and deposition processes. Proficiency with GIS and coastal modelling outputs. Excellent report-writing and problem-solving skills. Full UK driving licence.

Desirable skills and attributes: Tender preparation and project management experience. Knowledge of Water Framework Directive (WFD). Environmental Impact Assessment and policy development experience. Mentoring and contract management skills.

Qualifications: Degree (or equivalent) in geography or a related science field. Chartered status (or working towards) with ICE, CIWEM, or CGeog is highly valued.
