Coating Process Engineer focuses on solution development with direct liaison with paint suppliers and contractors.
What the role involves
- Solution development with direct liaison with paint suppliers and contractors.
- Review and interpret client and project coating specifications.
- Verify surface preparation methods and cleanliness grades.
- Inspect coating application activities and verify compliance with approved procedures.
- Record wet film thickness (WFT) and dry film thickness (DFT).
- Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement.
Skills and requirements
- Experience in surface treatment and coating inspection.
- Demonstrable experience inspecting industrial coating systems on steel and/or metallic substrates.
- Ability to document Work Instructions for own area.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, applicators, and project teams.
Confirmed role details
- 8am – 5pm (12.30pm finish on Friday).
- Provide experience on coatings and corrosion protection systems.
- To provide competent inspection and quality surveillance of surface preparation and applications.
- To monitor full compliance with applicable standards, specifications and contractual requirements across all products and processes.
