Coating Process Engineer

Coating Process Engineer focuses on solution development with direct liaison with paint suppliers and contractors.

What the role involves

• Solution development with direct liaison with paint suppliers and contractors.
• Review and interpret client and project coating specifications.
• Verify surface preparation methods and cleanliness grades.
• Inspect coating application activities and verify compliance with approved procedures.
• Record wet film thickness (WFT) and dry film thickness (DFT).
• Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement.

Skills and requirements

• Experience in surface treatment and coating inspection.
• Demonstrable experience inspecting industrial coating systems on steel and/or metallic substrates.
• Ability to document Work Instructions for own area.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, applicators, and project teams.

Confirmed role details

• 8am – 5pm (12.30pm finish on Friday).
• Provide experience on coatings and corrosion protection systems.
• To provide competent inspection and quality surveillance of surface preparation and applications.
• To monitor full compliance with applicable standards, specifications and contractual requirements across all products and processes.
