Develop, maintain, and support COBOL-based applications in line with project requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for critical systems. Contribute to code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high development standards. Participate in modernisation efforts to integrate legacy systems with contemporary technologies. Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a COBOL Developer, ideally with exposure to large-scale, business-critical systems. Strong understanding of COBOL programming and mainframe systems. Familiarity with databases such as DB2 or VSAM and JCL (Job Control Language). Ability to work independently in a remote setup while maintaining clear communication with the team. Knowledge of modernisation strategies for legacy systems is a plus.
