Monday to Friday, potential overtime and weekend call-out on a rotated shared basis (after training)

THE COMPANY

Johnson Brothers is an established distribution company founded in Northern Ireland in 1893. As well as our distribution, logistics and sales departments, the Johnson family runs a long-established coffee business since 1913. We roast our coffee locally in our factory in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. All of our classic coffee blends have won gold awards for great taste. We are very proud to be supplying our locally roasted coffee blends and award-winning service to some of our countries most prestigious restaurants, coffee shops and hotels.

Johnsons Coffee are looking for a Coffee Engineer to join their maintenance team. This role will be a combination of workshop and out on the road when needed to cover holidays, sickness and busy periods. There is a possibility that the field element will become more permanent dependent on business needs.

THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Undertake overhaul, repair or refurbishment work on brewing machines

Inspect and test the completed machine to ensure the unit is operating to expected performance levels

Keep record of jobs and parts used

Install equipment on customer sites, therefore travelling to customer sites around Northern Ireland

Potential overtime and weekend call-out on a rotated shared basis (after training)

Sometimes required to travel to England, Scotland and ROI to customer sites

Keep the company service vans and workshop clean, tidy and organised

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Experience in connecting to water/electrical supplies

Experience in appliance maintenance, preferably field based

Experience using a multi-meter

Coffee machinery engineering experience is an advantage but not essential.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Flexibility, organisational and time management skills

Excellent attention to detail, work accuracy/numeracy and quality oriented

Work autonomously on own initiative and also well as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business

A committed and positive attitude along with an obvious customer focus and the ability to build a positive rapport with customers
