This opportunity is for Medical Nurses for Musgrove Park Hospital. As a fully integrated trust, we can offer a collaborative approach to your career with us, meaning if you so choose, there would be opportunities to rotate across all sites and directorates to ensure your skills and knowledge are as broad as they possibly can be. We value our RGNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis, which does include nights and weekends. We have full-time and part-time hours available. You will require good communication skills, a teamwork approach, and be able to provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team. This advert is open to registered qualified nurses with a minimum of 2 years at Band 5 nurse. Main duties of the job

To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence-based, patient-centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, while reflecting the philosophy of care. To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trust's patient and public involvement strategy. To provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of the senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient-centred, evidence-based nursing care. Qualifications

Registered nurse with current registration with NMC. Diploma and working towards or willing to work towards degree level. Practice assessor and supervisor training. First Level/Supervisory Management Qualification or Course. Experience

Minimum of two years of experience at Band 5 level. Proven experience of clinical leadership of a team and leading team through change. Experience of mentoring. Knowledge and experience of clinical governance principles, including risk register. Additional Criteria
