16/12/2013 Job Summary: My client, a Sheffield based manufacturing business, is currently recruiting for a collections advisor to join their expanding team. Due to successive year on year growth, the position has been created in the team to ensure the businesses cash flow remains constant. The position will involve being responsible for your own ledger, ensuring prompt payment of invoices. Where this is not possible, you will be responsible for negotiating repayment plans to suit the needs of the business and ensuring bad debt is collected effectively. Your activity will be accurately recorded to strict guidelines to ensure all evidence is collated in case of any legal proceedings being required. The successful applicant will be an experienced credit controller who is able to provide relevant examples of working to and exceeding monthly debt collection targets. You will also be able to accurately outline the credit control process, including an understanding of payment plans, LBA's and other enforcement options.
