Supervisor responsibilities include training, overseeing, and motivating team members. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all staff stays on task and completes all assignments to ServiceMaster standards. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of cleaning principles and team management abilities.
Responsibilities
Training cleaners on ServiceMaster’s standards, products, processes, and procedures Overseeing staff performance and ensuring all assignments are completed in accordance with the set task schedule Training cleaners on task schedules specific to individual accounts Performing inspections and giving constructive performance feedback to staff members Making necessary adjustments in case of call-offs or no-shows Responding to customer complaints and requests in a timely and caring manner Ensuring compliance with safety and OSHA regulations Using proper PPE where required Opening and locking facilities, enabling and disabling security systems as required 1-2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required Will provide on-the-job training to those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus The ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked job is a must Contributing to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contributing to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable, and on time Having respect and understanding for co-workers and customers Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish . Physical Demands and Qualifications:
Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, reaching forward. Must be able to lift and/or carry 25lbs. Ability to read cleaning instructions Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses Disclaimer
