SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER FOR SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN AND CENTRAL MICHIGAN

*K-12 market experience *

BOTTOM LINE RESPONSIBILITY

Lead the preparation and execution of a large project or multiple projects of lesser complexity and size, and mentor PMs. Keep leadership apprised of key items.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Supervise planning of the construction process with Clark team(s).

Review and validate project schedule with PM(s).

Verify bid packages and contractor’s selection.

Validate budgets, profit projections, schedules of values, and other critical financial documents.

Coach and advise PM(s), providing frequent feedback on leadership, management, and performance through on-going dialogue.

Participate in weekly progress meetings with contractors, as necessary.

Enforce Clark’s safety, environmental, and cleanliness standards.

Ensure billing process is implemented on a timely basis.

Verify in regular updates of budget, profit projections, and other critical documents and assist PM(s) in profitability achievement and improvement.

Ensure the close-out process is led with minimum punch list items and assist as necessary.

Build strong relationships with Client/Owner, anticipate project needs, and ensure that Clark teams address them promptly.

Become familiar with Client/Owners’ organization and needs, including beyond the projects at hand.

Explore and develop new market segments/niches with PD, and in cooperation with Marketing & Planning.

Commit to continuous improvement of self and company, enabling both to grow soundly, profitably, and professionally.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support PD in initiating, developing, and maintaining outstanding relationships with existing and potential clients. Hold Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators accountable.
