Great compensation package! Responsibilities Oversee all stages of the project life cycle and coordinating construction activities. Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget. Utilize construction management software to streamline project management and improve communication among team members. Review plans thoroughly comparing interdisciplinary designs, trades and identify missing, mistaken or conflicting details. Submit in writing to the appropriate designer of record via RFI. Work with the Project Manager to track and coordinate RFIs. Review every subcontract, work order, purchase order and change order to become familiar with the scope and responsibilities of each subcontractor and vendor. Identify and communicate to the design/build team any scope or task that is not covered by the contracts or plans, or is required by code. Review the project schedule to the plans and how you envision the project to be built considering construction and safety best practices, site size or phasing constraints, weather conditions, material availability, inspection sequencing and requirements. Report and coordinate any schedule issues to the D/B team. Be the first to open up the job and last to leave to close the site down. Company supervision must be on site anytime a contractor is on-site. Track and register all visitors. Monitor and remove any unrelated personnel to ensure safety. Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, site activities, weather, and progress reports. Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities for safety, compliance with the construction documents, coordination with other trades, and high level of quality. Coordinate, manage and maintain records of all required inspections. Report inspection progress to the D/B team. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure that all activities align with the project plan, budget and schedule. Receive and document all client/owner and company deliveries. First choice is to have subcontractors receive their material. Coordinate, manage and document all regularly scheduled job meetings communicating all current and upcoming construction activities. Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards, work-related accidents and injuries. Hold weekly Safety Meetings on construction safety regulations and accident protocol. Handle site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol. Maintain an accurate Daily Log of all site activities and conditions. Evaluate the performance of construction crews and make proactive corrections as needed. Document all field adjustments and changes on the record set of construction documents - typical red-line process. Qualifications At least 5-10 years of proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry. At least 5 years of Commercial Construction experience including bringing projects out of the ground. Familiarity with construction management software such as MS Suite. Smart Sheets knowledge not required but preferred. Excellent understanding of quality control processes and safety regulations in construction. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents effectively. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to travel out of town, as needed for the projects. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, eight hours per day, with an occasional weekend day when needed. Seniority level
