Commercial Counsel – Global Company – Remote (Scotland/NI)
Are you a commercial solicitor or legal counsel interested in a new challenge? Conekt Legal is working exclusively with this leading global client to recruit a commercial counsel into their global legal team. This role would suit a qualified solicitor with previous commercial experience gained either within a private practice firm or an in-house organisation.

The Role
Working as part of this global in-house legal team, the commercial counsel would be responsible for:
Working closely with the global sales team to advise them on new and existing client deals to drive revenue and growth
Leading on the drafting and negotiation of a broad range of commercial contracts, including professional services, supply, distribution, software licence agreements, IT service, cloud agreements, SaaS agreements, etc.
Working with the global legal team on improving internal processes and delivery of legal services
Keeping updated and advising the global business on any areas of risk and compliance that could affect the business, with particular reference to data privacy
You will be!
Qualified Solicitor – England & Wales/NI/ROI or another common law jurisdiction
4+ years PQE with extensive commercial law experience either gained in-house or at a leading private practice
Experience of negotiating and drafting a broad range of complex commercial contracts, including technology contracts
Strong levels of commercial acumen
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement skills
