My client, a prestigious Global Law Firm, is looking for a Commercial Data Manager to join their Pricing & Analytics function on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is not a pricing role; it would be best suited to candidates with previous Data Management, Business Analysis, or Project Management experience. This is a vital role for the Pricing & Analytics function and a really exciting opportunity to drive change and success. My client is looking for someone who has an in-depth knowledge of data and can use commercial acumen to deliver results. Your day-to-day duties in this role would include: Conduct comprehensive reviews of certain categories of client and matter data to identify gaps and inconsistencies. Develop and implement data quality metrics and reporting mechanisms. Work alongside the Information Governance Officer to ensure all data collated meets the firm's required standards, format, and adheres to the firm's Data Principles. Develop and maintain a network of data stewards across the firm. Provide training and support to data stewards to ensure adherence to Data Principles and governance policies. Facilitate regular meetings and communications among data stewards to address data-related issues. In the context of client and matter data, enforce the firm's Data Principles. Work with other data and information security professionals within the firm to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to data management. Work closely with senior business stakeholders to understand data needs and priorities. Communicate data governance initiatives and progress to senior management. Foster a culture of data stewardship and accountability within the firm. Work closely with Technology and the business to help launch a new suite of matter-related tools. Assess current data capture processes and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with various departments to streamline data entry and management practices. Alongside the Data Administrator, actively chase missing information required for specific projects. Key requirements: Project/change management - act as a change agent with respect to data governance and related initiatives. Personal pride in producing high-quality work. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
