This is an exciting new role for the business that will lead in business process improvements, financial planning and analysis and management accounts production and review.
With the support of the Financial Controller and Finance Director, this is a business facing role where the successful candidate will be able to influence decision making and support the ongoing success of the organisation.
Responsibilities will include:
Business Partnering:
Work closely with the Trading and Retail teams to analyse supplier and member performance, offering actionable insights to drive growth and efficiency. Provide support to other teams across the business – ensuring decisions are made with a clear understanding of the financial implications. Support IT in systems development.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather insights and projections. Conduct scenario analysis to assess financial risks and opportunities, enabling informed decision-making. Develop new financial models to enable improved analysis of financial information. Management Accounts:
Produce, review, and develop the monthly management accounts pack. Ensure accuracy and relevance to business needs. Analysis of monthly performance – reviewing variances against budget.
Audit Support:
Participate in interim and annual audits, assisting with financial data collection and analysis to facilitate a smooth audit process.
Central Invoicing and Ad-Hoc Support:
Assist other Finance team members, particularly in central invoicing processes, and provide support to the Senior Accountant on ad-hoc projects.
Minimum Requirements: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant. Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting expertise. Experience of preparing and reviewing management accounts. Advanced Excel skills. Experience of ERP systems - Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred. Power BI experience preferred.
