An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Finance Manager on a 6 month fixed term contract basis to join a fast-growing FMCG / Retail business based in Hounslow. This role offers significant exposure to Senior Operational Directors and excellent progression options. The business is looking for someone who is immediately available to start ASAP.
Responsibilities:
Provide commentary on weekly and monthly performance and own all analysis related to Margin, Destination and KPI Performance. Lead the Global BI team on report development and dashboard creations. Business Partner the Operational Managers with focus KPIs. Work closely with Finance Analyst & Budget holders to drive accurate P&L OPEX budgeting & forecasting. Support the development of the Finance Analyst. Ad-hoc support as requested by the Finance Director and Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. Brand, product category and product reporting – sales (volume & mix), cost, margin. Sales reporting and analysis for senior level stakeholders. Analysis of KPI reports including channel, customer, product profitability providing investigation and commentary on variance to plan for a range of senior Directors. Robust commercial, trend and business analysis across customer, categories & products. Ensure complex information and data is turned into clear and digestible information. Support decision making across the commercial teams with insightful and accurate recommendations. Take a lead role in the budgeting and forecasting process working with commercial and finance teams. Work closely with Finance team to ensure accurate allocation of deductions, understanding drivers of distribution. Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams. Support the planning and budgeting process around production, distribution, costing and purchasing. Requirements:
Previous Retail / FMCG experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (nested formulas). Comfortable with large data sets. Experience of using Power BI or an equivalent tool.
