Highly successful Business Services Group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire has a newly created opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager as a result of continued growth and the requirement for finance to play a key role in the continued development and expansion of the business. What will the Commercial Finance Manager role involve? Reporting to the Divisional Finance Director, the key responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Manager position will include: Work with key stakeholders across the business to set short, medium and long–term targets to maximise returns from new products and initiatives, ensuring the delivery of intended benefits and efficiencies; Development of effective KPIs to establish the viability of new initiatives to ensure that they will contribute positively to the 5 year business plan; Liaise with relevant Department Heads to design and implement processes which support accurate costing and benefit analysis for new products; Take ownership for all new initiatives implemented tracking all spend to date and ensuring all identified benefits are given sufficient focus; Establish a feedback loop for ensuring learnings from completed initiatives feed continuous improvement of new ones; Undertake competitor analysis identifying initiatives which should be considered for development within the business; Provide support for all M&A appraisal and provide support for business cases and modelling for any identified M&A targets. Suitable Candidate for the Commercial Finance Manager role: Applicants for the Commercial Finance Manager position will hold a full accountancy qualification with experience of working effectively within a similar commercially focused position; Excellent communication skills will be essential to undertake the role as will the ability to analyse and process large amounts of data and quickly formulate and present a synopsis of the information.
