Commercial Gas Engineer - West Midlands
Salary:
up to Basic £51,000 plus on call and overtime We are currently working with a leading provider of bespoke energy solutions and they are looking to recruit a Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team to look after the Birmingham area. This role will also require travel to the North Region at times dependent on the contracts. As their commercial gas engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing and commissioning of various gas appliances ranging from light commercial to large industrial. Carrying out works in a timely manner to a high standard, identifying faults and providing quotations and feedback to the sales and contracts departments. The role includes:
Service of boilers, forced draught burners, water heaters, overhead radiant tubes & warm air heaters Identify and diagnose faults and repair a wide variety of gas appliances Commissioning of boilers, burners, water heaters and warm air units Carrying out testing and purging of pipework systems to igem/up/1a & igem/up/1 Requirement to join an on-call rota (frequency dependent on location) Liaise with the helpdesk team to ensure workload is completed and agreed SLAs are met Be able to read and understand site-specific Rams Working to pre-defined industry policy / Guidelines Essential qualifications:
Commercial gas qualifications - COCN1, CORT1, CIGA1, TPCP1 &1A, ICPN1 Ability to service and fault find on commercial gas appliances using electrical testing equipment Ability to use own initiative to problem solve in challenging situations Industry standard completed apprenticeship Full clean driving license Reliable, punctual, and flexible to support the role and all members of the team Able to work alone under limited supervision Able to operate handheld electronic device A competitive salary package for the Commercial Gas Engineer is offered at up to £51,000 with on call and overtime on top.
