Job Advert: Gas Engineer
Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Derby, Nantwich, Crewe, and surrounding areas Salary: £43,000 per annum (equivalent to £19.50 per hour, dependent on experience) + Overtime Opportunities
Are you an experienced Gas Engineer with expertise in mechanical building services installations? We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team and deliver high-quality services across a variety of client sites.
The Role: Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will perform a wide range of commercial gas tasks, including:
Plumbing, heating, and minor ventilation works. Material take-offs from drawings. Fault diagnosis of heating systems. Reactive maintenance tasks on-site. Servicing commercial gas boilers and overhead gas radiant heaters. Servicing commercial gas catering equipment.
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Solid experience in a similar position. Domestic and commercial gas qualifications. Proven fault diagnosis skills for heating systems. An NVQ/City & Guilds qualification in building services/plumbing. A valid CSCS card. Non-Domestic Gas Safe certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude. A full UK driving licence.
Desirable but not essential qualifications: OFTEC, IPAF, PASMA accreditations. SSSTS card, asbestos awareness, and first aid certification. LPG domestic and commercial experience (training can be provided).
What We Offer: Salary: £43,000 per annum (equivalent to £19.50 per hour). Overtime: Paid at x1.5 or x2 hourly rate. Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm (42.5 hours per week).
