An introduction to the Commercial Lawyer opportunity and our client:
Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working exclusively with One Legal to recruit a permanent Commercial Lawyer. One Legal is a shared legal service between four councils in Gloucestershire, offering a unique opportunity for ambitious lawyers/legal officers to work with a varied caseload. They are seeking an ambitious lawyer who is ready for a dynamic and challenging environment to help them grow their legal team.
About the Commercial Lawyer vacancy:
The successful candidate will be joining an experienced and supportive team of lawyers, providing a wide range of legal advice and support in relation to contracts and procurement.
The role will offer the opportunity to be involved with:
development of regeneration schemes. grant funding for community based projects. setting up joint venture companies for the delivery of council functions. supporting the partners with implementation of the Procurement Act 2023.
Key duties of the Commercial Lawyer will include: Full range of general contract and procurement matters. Commercial work. Construction contracts. Grants (including subsidy control implications). Projects. Governance. Benefits that come with the role of Commercial Lawyer will include: Local Government Pensions Scheme - considered to be one of the best employer contribution rates. Flexible and hybrid working which allows for remote working but also requires office attendance with the aim to give everyone a balanced work/life ratio.
