We have a great opportunity for someone to join our Portfolio Team on a 12 month secondment basis. About the Role As a Portfolio Manager within the Commercial Lending function, you'll assist with the in-life management of existing commercial accounts including corporate buy to let, commercial investment and owner occupied mortgages. This is an important role, one where you’ll work to support commercial lending customers and deliver key portfolio management activities. You’ll be conducting full facility reviews, instructing and analysing revaluations, assessing covenants, managing watch list accounts, arrears and recovery cases. This is a stretching and interesting role with a significant level of stakeholder and supplier contact as well as customer support and strategy. You will build great relationships with customers and deliver a high standard of customer service. You’ll provide prompt and robust assessment of material variations for customers and strive towards achieving successful retention rates to help deliver the commercial plan. The ability to make critical evaluations, re-prioritise, make informed decisions and have detailed conversations with customers is key. The ability to work independently on projects as well as within a team will be required. Please Note: We are based in Peterborough, currently working a hybrid of two days in the office each week for training, collaboration and important meetings and the remainder at home. About You You’ll need a good understanding of Commercial Lending and have experience working directly with customers, solicitors, surveyors and suppliers. You’ll pride yourself on great direct customer interaction with deep understanding of account reviews, lending, covenant checking, valuation reports and a firm understanding of how to analyse and interpret financial accounts. Coupled with this will be great organisation, negotiation skills and flair for numbers, data and analysis. All this will be underpinned with demonstrating leadership values and behaviours, as you’ll engage with external customers as well as colleagues across YBS.
